Jacqueline Emerson @ The Salon by Maxime – The Hunger Games Premiere

15 Mar

Had a great opportunity to shoot at the beautiful The Salon by Maxime in Beverly Hills once again and this time was to shoot the fresh Jacqueline Emerson as she was prepared for her first huge red carpet event – The Hunger Games premiere! She plays Foxface, one of the tributes, in the upcoming The Hunger Games movie that releases on March 23.

Jackie is an intelligent and spunky girl so it was so easy to shoot her and keep an interesting conversation going. She had so much passion for everything that she talked about – from what she wants to study in college (drama & Chinese) to her intense love of apples as well as her excitement (and nervousness) for the big night. She has such a warm and big personality so it was a lot of fun.

Jackie’s look came out looking flawless – all thanks to a GREAT team from The Salon & her Stylist.

Great job to Maxime with the hair, Bulmaro with the makeup, and her stylist, Sophia, for putting together such a great look for Jackie.

Jackie – I was watching videos of you on the red carpet online and I’m glad all the designer-name prepping paid off! It made me laugh. You killed it in your Reem Acra dress, Giuseppe Zanotti heels, Bvlgari clutch, and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry. (;

Also big thank you to everyone else who were a part of this whole event (the assistants, etc.) and a HUGE shoutout to the awesome Sylvia of Spilt Milk PR for just being overall so amazing to work with (and did I mention she has the BEST name in the world?).

Thank you to Maxime and The Salon for having me over again and for such a fun shoot!  I still love your salon and I recommend everyone check it out! It has an amazing feel, great staff, and all sorts of great services!

Channels – Recording

10 Jan

Spent a couple of days at the beginning of the new year with Channels, a folk/indie trio band in LA.
They’ve been working on writing and tracking their EP. After seeing all the long hours of recording, I can’t wait to hear the final versions!

Instant Noodles Crew – Studio 661 Workshops

17 Oct

Last month, Instant Noodles Crew had a fantastic opportunity to teach workshops at Studio 661 in Delano, CA.

This was the first time that Instant Noodles Crew has ever taught workshops as a crew so it was a really fun, new experience for us all. The guys got to teach workshops in fields other than breaking that they excel in as well.

We really hope you all had fun learning and had fun talking to the guys – it was great meeting so many talented dancers. A huge thank you to Studio 661 for having us and taking such great care of us (and thank you to the awesome mom who made us dinner!).

The Back to School Bounce & MetroPCS Appearance

29 Aug

This past weekend was spent up in and around Modesto with Instant Noodles Crew.
Flew in early on Friday and left even earlier on Sunday. Was a short trip but it was packed with events (but we got some down time where we ended up spending 2 hours in Forever 21 playing dress up).

They also had a MetroPCS and KWin 97.7/98.3 appearance in Stockton. Got to meet fans, win some prizes, and dance (even in the intense heat!).

Disney’s D23 Expo

25 Aug

Spent some time this past weekend at Disney’s D23 Expo.
I didn’t have much time to look around (since I was working with Instant Noodles Crew), but what I did see was really cool! It was my first time attending so I really enjoyed it.

During the Expo, Shake it Up had a live performance & panel which they invited Instant Noodles to be a part of!
It was a fun experience getting to perform for Disney fans live rather than via TV.

Be sure to watch Shake it Up on the Disney Channel on Halloween (Oct. 31, 2011) to see the episode that Instant Noodles is on.
